Paper-based Game On Brexit.

For the player, the games whole objective is for the player to have a Brexit that they want with the options provided(hope to add more soon). For the player to win when they are playing by themselves is when they get their desired goals in the game. When it comes to multiplayer, however, the players all pick separate countries, England, Ireland, Northern Ireland, and France. The players all go around one after another. Each objective a country gets has to be written down, and if a country gets what they want, they win the game. However, this can be shortened extremely quickly. If two players land on the debate block and if one player out debates the other in the role of the dice then the player that lost is eliminated from the game. If England are eliminated from the game from the debate then everybody wins except England.

A Game in 10 Minutes.

I have created a random number game. The random numbers are based off of three 6 sided dice. You need all 3 dice to land on three 1s or three 6s. The game starts off with the players in a square with no way out except getting lucky with their roll. Every time a player does not get the required numbers to win, the square closes.

The rules to this game are very simple, you roll and get the required amount and you win/leave the square. If you fail however the square gets smaller and smaller. The game will keep on going until you can not fit the 3 dice in the square the game is over and everyone loses.

When I played through the game I found that it can become very frustrating when you get close but not the required amount to win the game. I like the fact that my game can sometimes end extremely quickly and that gives you more time to play another game of it.

The game starts off with an A4 page and you have a square. You then get your 3 dice and throw the dice inside the square. If you do not get the required combination you make the square smaller. The game will end once the required combination is thrown, or if the square can no longer fit the dice. The only problem I encountered was the frustration, and I do not know how to fix it.

What Makes a Game Great.

Red Dead Redemption 2.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is set in 1899 and follows the Dutch Van Der Linde outlaw gang as they travel through America committing felonies. The world of Red Dead Redemption 2 is a very harsh and unforgiving world, with plenty of diversity. There are snowy mountains to the north, swamps of the Bayou down south and forests across the map. The map has its own fauna in each region. These fauna range from big to small, extremely dangerous to passive. These include bears, mountain lions, salmon and deer. In the game you play as Arthur Morgan, the world interacts with how you play the game so if you choose to be a bad person and get low honour then the locals in towns will behave more hostile towards you, and your character will be charged more in shops. If you have high honour however, the npcs are more nicer towards your character, and you receive a discount in the shops. If you ride through a town and cause trouble the inhabitants will remember and will be angry with you if you ride through again.

The game can be played in the first and third person perspective. Both have their own advantages. First person helps you when you are in fire fights in a town and third person helps you when you are riding through places. The games dimension is 3-D. The map is roughly 29 square miles big. Time is a big factor in the game when it comes to hair growth of the character and when it comes to the gangs camp, the longer you are away the more the camp gets hungry and low on supplies. The player can adjust the time of the game by sleeping for set number of hours. the game requires good reflexes and precision aim for the weapons. In the game you can get items to sell to make more money. You can acquire these items by hunting them or by robbing them off people.

Dying Light.

Dying Light is set in a city called Harran. Harran is in quarantine because of a deadly zombie infection. The world of Dying light is a very violent one. There are 2 warring factions fighting over supplies that are dropped by health organisations. The health organisations drop antizin which helps keep the infection at bay for those who are bitten. The factions are at war with each other for this very resource. The player can loot most areas of the world and can also interact with every building as this game is heavily based on parkour. The game is set in first person and first person only. It is in the 3rd dimension. The map is a fairly good size. The edges of the map are blocked off by a barbed wired fence to stop the player from leaving the area. Time matters in the game as during the day the zombies are slow and harmless, the only enemies you have to worry about are the human bandits, but at night time there is a new enemy that is more powerful and more deadly. The challenges are the enemies themselves. The game also has an economy just like red dead where you can trade and sell stuff.

A game I played called Ur.

I played a old traditional game called The Royal Game of Ur. This game dates back to 2600-2400 BC. It was popular in the Middle East and has been found in Countries such as Iran and Syria. The rules are pretty simple to follow once you get the hang of it. The aim of the game is to get your seven checker like pieces either a black or white colour across the board and then off the board. The first person to get their pieces across and off the board wins. What controls the movement of these checker pieces are a set of four-sided, pyramid-shaped dice. Two of the corners of each die are marked and two are not. The number of marked ends facing upwards after a roll determine the amount of spaces that can be moved. The game starts when a player rolls the die and the piece can move onto their side of the board, where it is safe from capture, but once it moves to the middle line in the board it is not safe from capture unless it lands on a square which is marked. These marked squares give the player another go and the die but also protect the checker from being sent back to the start.

Once you get the hang of the games rules the game is actually very enjoyable to play although it can be frustrating sometimes to say the least. In this game it was not easy to plan ahead as you roll dice the odds are completely random so it made the game a bit more exciting. I enjoyed the game and would play it again.
